Read more about Call for PapersAnatolian Journal of Archaeology and Ancient History (AJAR) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research on the archaeology of Anatolia and its surrounding regions. The journal aims to provide a platform for scholars to share their latest findings, methodologies, and theoretical approaches related to prehistoric, classical, and medieval archaeology.
Our scope includes archaeological excavations and surveys, material culture studies, paleoenvironmental research, geoarchaeology, bioarchaeology, and heritage conservation, but it is not limited to these. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary contributions incorporating historical, anthropological, and scientific perspectives to better understand Anatolia's rich archaeological past.
Published annually, AJAR accepts original research articles, review papers, short reports, and book reviews. All submissions undergo rigorous peer review to ensure scholarly excellence and academic integrity.
The journal is open to contributions in English and Turkish and strives to foster international collaboration among researchers working on Anatolian archaeology.
