Editorial Confidentiality Obligation

Editors and editorial board members should not share information about submitted manuscripts with anyone other than the corresponding author, referees, potential referees, and other editorial advisors as necessary. Unless otherwise agreed, the editor should maintain the confidentiality of all material submitted to the journal and communications with reviewers. However, when investigations of suspected research misconduct are necessary, editors may share limited information with other journal editors. In addition, unpublished material in submitted manuscripts may not be used by the editor in their own research without the author's express written permission.
